1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Important Warnings
Before using your appliance read this instructions manual carefully and
keep it in a safe place as you may need to consult it in the future.
Before turning on your appliance, and to ensure a safe and correct
operation, do not use if:
• It has fallen to the ground;
• You notice any evidence of damage;
• Any anomaly occurs during its operation.
To avoid hazards or deterioration of your appliance through incorrect
use it is advisable to read these instructions thoroughly.
Your appliance may not be used for other purposes than the ones
intended and solely for household use. Any damage resulting from
using the appliance outside this scope, any incorrect use, as well as
any manual modications to the product will not be covered and
automatically voids the warranty.

assistance.
This appliance can be used by children from the age of 8 and by
people with reduced physical, sensorial or mental capabilities and/or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given instructions
on using the appliance safely and if they understand the hazards
involved. Children may not play with the appliance. Cleaning and
maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

1.1. Power Supply
Make sure the main voltage is compatible with the appliance’s. If this is
not the case, please consult the Customer Support Service.
1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables
Do not tangle the cord or pull it to disconnect the appliance. Also, keep
the cord away from warm surfaces.
Never use the appliance if it has a damaged cable or socket.
Take it to the Technical Support Service for replacement.
1.3. Humidity and Water
Do not use your appliance in humid places. Do not allow the appliance
to become wet under any circumstances as this may be dangerous.
To avoid re hazard or electric shock do not expose your appliance
to humidity or water. Furthermore, do not place your appliance under
water (e.g. for cleaning).
1.4. Cleaning
Before cleaning, be sure to switch o the appliance and remove the plug
from the main power supply. Always allow the unit to cool down before
cleaning.
To clean the exterior of the product use a dry soft cloth only.

1.5. General Precautions
• Please follow the instructions in the user manual which help to
properly install and operate this product and enjoy its advanced
features. Please keep the instructions for future reference.
• Read all instructions before using the product.
• Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by
authorized professionals.
• Any damage caused by manual modications to the product is not
covered by the warranty.
• If this product is used for other purposes than the ones originally
intended, or if it is not correctly connected, the product may become
damaged and the warranty will be voided.
• Constant supervision is necessary when children or disabled persons
are near the appliance.
• To avoid voltage drops in the circuit, do not use extension cords with
this appliance.
• The appliance should always be switched on using the control panel.
• Never unplug the dehumidier from the socket outlet while it is in
operation, as this may damage the electronic circuits.
• Never place anything on top of the appliance and do not cover it with
any type of fabric while it’s on.
• Do not place objects that obstruct the openings or use this appliance
near curtains or walls.
• Keep the hot air outlet area adequately clean and make sure this area
is not congested.
• Keep at least 500 mm of free space on all sides of the appliance for
proper ventilation.

• Do not place the power cord under a rug or carpet.
• Never install the appliance in a location with direct sunlight.
• This appliance is for domestic use only.
• The operating temperature is between 5 °C to 35 °C.
• Save the model number and date of purchase of the product for
situations where they may be needed. You should also attach the
receipt of purchase and the warranty.
• Note: The classication of this product was based on specic load
tests. The normal use of this product will use less electricity.
• Do not install or use the dehumidier before fully reading these
instructions.
• The following advice should be followed:
- The appliance must always be used in an upright position, as it
contains a cooling agent.
- After removing the appliance from the package, place it in the vertical
position, which will allow the cooling agent to stabilise, and wait 2
hours before using it.
• If you do not comply with these instructions, the appliance may be
damaged and the warranty invalidated.
• This appliance should not be installed in the laundry.
• The appliance must be installed in accordance with national
regulations and should be in a position where the socket is accessible.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, or by a sales representative to avoid a hazard.

2.2. Using the Product
Make sure that the appliance is
connected correctly.
Make sure that the water tank
is placed correctly. (If the water
level lamp is on, you should
empty it and put it back.
Turn the humidity control button
to NORMAL (preferred option)
or CONTINUOUS.
The appliance will switch o
when set in the OFF position.
Water Level Lamp
The lamp will turn on when the container is full.
To empty it, you must rst disconnect the appliance from the socket
outlet and carefully remove the water tank. Replace the container
before reconnecting the device.
Empty the container using both hands to hold it.

Defrosting Lamp
If the room temperature is too low the appliance will automatically
begin defrosting and the corresponding light will turn on. The light will
also turn on if the lter is obstructed.
** The unit has a 3-minute delay due to the circuit protection device.
To extend the useful life of the compressor, it will not start within the
rst 3 minutes.
** Do not use the same extension cord or socket for another electrical
appliance.
Continuous Drainage
The unit has a continuous drainage outlet. With the use of a
commercial hose (with an inner diameter of 14 mm), the water tank
can be drained continuously to this output. Before setting up the
equipment for continuous draining, always switch o the device and
remove the power cable from the socket.
Disconnect the deposit and open
the drain outlet.
Use tweezers or similar tools to
open the drain outlet.
Pull the hose into the drain
outlet.
Pass a commercial hose (with an
inner diameter of 14 mm) through
the continuous drain outlet. The
height level of the drainage tube
should never be higher than the
drainage outlet. It must also be
unobstructed at all times, so that
the condensed water can be
drained successfully.

Correct use of the hose
When using the drain, the PVC hose must be placed under the drain
hole. Avoid uneven surfaces and do not twist the hose.
2.3. Maintenance
Exterior Surfaces
You should use a sponge to remove dirt and then a soft, dry cloth for
drying.
Never use detergents or solvents.
Filters
The air lters, located inside the unit, retain dust. To prevent dust from
obstructing the device, you must always use the lters.
• Dust build-up reduces the eiciency of the appliance. Thus, the air
lters should be cleaned every two weeks and more frequently if the
appliance operates in a dusty environment.
• If the lters are obstructed, the appliance will be less eicient.
• To remove the lter, please refer to the gure below.
• You must pull as shown in the gure: up and to forward until it
comes out.
• Clean the lters with the vacuum cleaner. If the lters if are
extremely dirty, you can wash them out with warm water (never use

hot or soapy water). Make sure that the lters are completely dry
before placing them back into the device.
• Do not bend the lters.
Long-term Storage
At the end of each season, or when you plan not to use the appliance
for an extended period of time, you must follow the steps below:
Remove the water tank, as well as the drain hose.
Unplug the appliance and wrap the power cable and the plug.
Clean the appliance and store it, protecting it from dust.
Store the device in the vertical position. Keep it in a dry place and
away from light sources.
2.4. Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
The appliance does
not work.
• Make sure that the power cord is
connected.
• Make sure that the “ ” light is not on.
• Empty the water tank and put it back.
• Make sure that the local temperature not
higher than 38 °C or lower than 2 °C.

Problem Solution
The dehumidifying
function does not
work.
• Make sure that the lter is not obstructed.
• Clean the lter according to the
instructions in the “Maintenance” section.
• Make sure that there are no obstructions to
discharge. Remove any obstructions which
may be present
There is no output
air ow.
• Make sure that the air lter is not
obstructed. If it is, you must clean it
according to the instructions under the
“Maintenance” section.
Operation is quite
noisy.
• Make sure that the appliance is properly
installed and stable. If the noise persists,
place a soft object underneath the
appliance to reduce the noise.
• Make sure that the air lter is not
obstructed.
• Increased noise upon start-up due to
cooling.
The noise level
due to operation
increases during use.
• Increased noise is to be expected when the
compressor is activated.
The dehumidication
process is not taking
place.
• Make sure that the place is not too large
for the appliance, that the windows are
closed and that there is no other appliance
that produces vapour.
Dehumidication is
minimal.
• This can happen if the temperature and/or
humidity in the room are too low.

Problem Solution
A mouldy odour
can be felt in the air
during the rst use.
• Due to the temperature, the device can
operate in an unexpected manner and can
produce this odour.
The device causes
echo.
• If the device is used in a place with wooden
oors or with limited room, it can cause
echo.
There are spots in
the water tank.
• These spots result from the water left over
following the factory dehumidication test.
They are not indicative of any problem.
If the problem persists, take your appliance to an after-sales service
desk at any Worten Equipamentos para o lar store, to solve the
problem.
Worten Equipamentos para o lar grants a warranty against any
manufacturing defect found within a period of 2 years after the date
of purchase of this product. The warranty requires the proper use and
maintenance of the item, in particular, according to the instructions
contained in this manual. If these conditions are not met, damage will
not be covered by the warranty.
Electrical appliance repairs must be carried out by skilled technicians
only, at the risk of further complications in the appliance at a later date.
To avoid unnecessary hazards, in the event of damage to the cables
or other components, the repairs must be carried out in specialised
technical service centres, for which appropriate tools are required.
