Safety 1st

WARNING:

• Please read instructions carefully before

assembling and using this product. Failure to

do so could result in serious injury.

• Suitable for children in the age of 18 months

to 5 years. Maximum weight 22.7 kg (50 lbs).

Only use for children who can get in and out

of bed unassisted.

• This Bed Guard should not be used as a

substitute for a cot, as it cannot provide the

same level of safety as a cot.

• For use with beds that are a minimum

length of 156 cm, and mattresses with a

depth of max. 20 cm.

• Always ensure that the Bed Guard, when in

the locked position or when placed in the

ﬁ tted position, is ﬁ rmly pushed against the

mattress.

• Once ﬁ tted, the Bed Guard should be

checked regularly to ensure that it is properly

ﬁ tted and secure.

• The Bed Guard should be periodically

checked for its general condition with

particular reference to the security of any

locking mechanism and/or hinges that are

used on the product.

• Additionnal or replacement parts should be

obtained only from the manufacturer.

• The Bed Guard should not be used on a

sleeping surface that is more than 600mm

from the ﬂ oor.

The distance from the top of the base

(mattress support) and the top of the lateral

boards of the bed frame must be a minimum

of 25 mm.

WARNING : To prevent the risk of

strangulation it is essential to ensure that

when the bedguard is ﬁ tted into position,

there is a gap of at least 250 mm (10 in),

between each end of the bed and the

corresponding end of the bedguard.

Cleaning instructions:

IMPORTANT! To clean wipe with a damp cloth

and dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive

cleaners. Do not immerse in water.

Advice from Safety 1st:

• Always keep an eye on the child, since

children quickly become more independent.

• Continue use with the traditional child cot

until your child is able to climb out of the cot.

• Not suitable for use with bunk beds, youth

beds, inﬂ atable mattresses or waterbeds.

• Discontinue use if damaged, broken or if

parts are missing.

• This product is not a toy. Ensure that

children do not play with the Bed Guard or

use as a ladder.

Warranty

We guarantee that this product has been

manufactured in accordance with

European safety standards and quality

requirements in force at the present time

and that, at the time of its purchase by

the retailer, this product was exempt

from any defect of composition and

manufacture. During its production

process, this product was also subjected

to various quality controls.

If, in spite of all our efforts, a material

and/or manufacturing defect should

occur during the warranty period of 24

months (used normally and in

accordance with the instructions), we

undertake to respect the warranty

conditions. Please contact your retailer.

concerning the applicability of the

warranty conditions, please contact your

retailer or go to: www.safety1st.com.

The warranty does not apply in the

following cases :

•

When the product has been used for a

purpose other than that provided for in

the instructions for use.

•

When the product has been repaired by

a non-approved supplier.

•

When the product is not returned to

the manufacturer with the original till

receipt (issued by the retailer and/or

importer).

•

When repairs have been carried out by

a third party or a non-approved retailer.

•

When the defect was caused by

incorrect or insufﬁ cient use or

maintenance, neglect or impacts at the

level of the textile and/or chassis.

•

When it is a case of normal wear of the

parts, such as can be expected from

daily use (wheels, rotating and mobile

elements, etc.)

When does the warranty come into

effect ?

The warranty period starts on the

purchase date of the product.

For how long ?

For a period of 24 consecutive months.

The warranty is only valid for the ﬁ rst

owner and is not transferrable.

What should you do ?

When buying the product, please keep

the original till receipt safely. The

purchase date must be clearly visible. In

the event of problems or defects, please

refer to the retailer. No exchange or

refund can be demanded. Repairs do not

entail the extension of the warranty

period. The products which are not

returned directly to the manufacturer are

not covered by the warranty. This

warranty clause is in conformity with the

European directive 99/44/CE of May

25th 1999.

• Dieses Bettgitter ersetzt nicht ein Gitterbett.

Es bietet nicht dasselbe Niveau an Sicherheit

wie ein Gitterbett.

• Das Bett muss mindestens 156 cm lang und

die Matratze zwischen 10 und 24 cm dick sein.

• Prüfen Sie immer, dass das Gitter gut

installiert und verriegelt ist.

Der Abstand zwischen der Oberseite der

(Matratzen-) Auﬂ age und der Oberseite der

seitlichen Stützen des Bettrahmens muss

mindestens 25 mm betragen.

ACHTUNG: Um der Strangulierungsgefahr zu

begegnen, sollten Sie unbedingt darauf

achten, dass das Bettgitter in der

vorgesehenen Position noch eine Lücke von

mindestens 250 mm zwischen dem Kopf- und

Fußende und den entsprechenden Enden des

Bettgitters frei lässt.

Pﬂ ege :

WICHTIG! Zur Reinigung mit einem feuchten

Tuch abwischen und gründlich trocknen.

Keine scheuernden Reinigungsmittel

benutzen. Nicht in Wasser eintauchen.

Tips von Safety 1st:

• Behalten Sie Ihr Kind immer im Auge, da

Kinder schnell selbständig werden.

• Benutzen Sie das Babybett solange Ihr Kind

nicht in der Lage ist, allein herauszuklettern.

• Nicht für ausziehbare Betten, Betten für

Kinder über 5 Jahre, Luftmatratzen oder

Wasserbetten geeignet.

• Das Bettgitter nicht mehr verwenden, wenn

es beschädigt oder zerbrochen ist oder wenn

einzelne Teile fehlen.

Verhindern Sie, dass Kinder mit dem
