SAFETY ADVICE
This appliance has been designed for
preserving frozen food, for freezing fresh
food and for making ice cubes. Any other
use would be inappropriate.
In the event of any operating problems
with the appliance, always only contact the
authorised After-Sales Service centres or
a suitably qualified person.
If any maintenance work is required, first
disconnect the appliance. Do not pull on
the power cable.
The appliance must be installed in
accordance with the instructions in this
manual; poor installation can damage the
appliance.
If this appliance replaces another that has
a latch, spring, bolt or some other type of
lock, remember to destroy the locking
mechanism, or even better, remove your
old appliance’s door, to prevent anyone
from becoming locked inside it (children
playing, animals, etc.).
Once you have unpacked your appliance,
ensure that it has not been damaged. If
this is the case, any damage must be
reported to the retailer within 24 hours of
delivery. The materials used for the
packaging are completely recyclable
(cardboard, PE bubble wrap, EPS, etc.).
Keep these materials out of children’s
reach.
The appliance’s refrigeration circuit
contains isobutane refrigerant, a low-
pollution natural gas that nevertheless is
inflammable. When transporting and
installing the appliance, ensure that none
of the components in the refrigeration
circuit is damaged. In the event of any
damage, keep it away from naked flames
and sources of inflammation and ventilate
well the room in which it is situated.
For the appliance to operate optimally,
install it away from any heat sources and
ensure that air can circulate around it
correctly (see Installing the appliance).
14
INSTALLATION
In order to avoid certain problems,
carefully read the safety instructions
before proceeding to install the appliance
Install the appliance in a well-ventilated,
damp-free room, away from any heat
source. Leave a minimum distance of
10cm between the top of the appliance
and any unit above it. If your installation
does not permit this, leave 5cm between
the height of the casing and any other
kitchen unit fixed to the wall and a gap of
2.5cm on each side of the appliance.
If your appliance must be installed next to
a refrigerator or freezer, you must maintain
a gap of 5cm at the sides to prevent
condensation from forming on the outside
of the appliance.
Your appliance’s climatic classification is
shown on the information plate. This
determines the ambient temperature range
for which the refrigeration unit is designed,
ensuring that the appliance will operate
correctly.
Class Ambient temperatures
N 16° to 32°
ST 18° to 38°
T 18° to 43°

underneath the appliance.
The appliance’s electrical connection is
fitted with an Earth. For your safety,
connect the appliance to an effective
earthed socket (in accordance with the
standards in force regarding safe electrical
installation).
The manufacture refuses to accept any
liability for any damage that may be
caused through failure to earth the
appliance correctly.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
The thermostat knob is behind the freezer
door and enables you to adjust the
temperature. In position 0, the appliance is
OFF. We recommend that you select a
moderate setting: 2 or 3.
This appliance also has 3 indicator lights
to facilitate its use:
: Super Freeze
: Temperature rise warning
: ON
Start/Stop
The green light illuminates as soon as
your freezer is plugged in unless your
appliance’s thermostat is set to position 0.
Super Freeze
This function enables you to freeze a large
quantity of food at one time. We
recommend that you switch on this
function 24 hours before you introduce the
food and keep it on for a further 24 hours.
To engage Super Freeze, simply press the
switch behind the door, next to the
thermostat.
Temperature rise warning
The light illuminates as soon as the
temperature exceeds a certain level that
could prejudice the preservation of frozen
foods (over -12°C). It is normal for the
warning light to light momentarily when the
appliance is switched on, i.e. until the
temperature reaches the optimum level for
preserving food.
When in freezing mode, the compressor
operates continuously, enabling the
maximum benefit to be gained from its
refrigeration capacity. Maintain this mode
for 24 hours after introducing food to be
frozen and then switch back to normal
storage mode.
Place the food to be frozen in the
appliance’s two top compartments to avoid
their coming in contact with products that
have already been frozen, which would
raise their temperature and risk making
them unsuitable to eat. If there are only a
few items to be frozen, always use the top
compartment, in which products can be
piled up, taking care not to obstruct air
circulation.
The maximum quantity of food that can be
frozen in a 24-hour period is shown on the
information plate inside the appliance.
Take care not to exceed this, otherwise
there is the risk your food will be poorly
frozen.
Once the time required to freeze the food
has passed, distribute the frozen items
among the storage drawers.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
Advice:
Do not put hot food or unsealed liquids in
the freezer.
NEVER put volatile, inflammable or
explosive liquids such as solvents,
alcohol, acetone or petrol in the freezer:
this could cause an explosion.
Do not freeze too large quantity of food at
one time: the faster the food is frozen, the
longer it will retain it qualities.
Ensure that you wrap your food carefully
before you freeze it so that it retains all its
flavour and does not spoil the other items.
ADVICE ON FREEZING
The length of time you can keep frozen
food depends on the type of food
concerned. Refer to the instructions on
the packaging.
Do not open the door and introduce new
items for freezing during a freezing phase.
An item should never be refrozen once it
has defrosted.
Note the date that frozen products were
manufactured and comply with the
storage times indicated by the
manufacturer.
Avoid opening the door too often and do
not leave the door open for longer than
strictly necessary: any increase in
temperature can significantly reduce the
food’s storage time.
Ensure that the external packaging is
intact. If this is not the case, the product
may possibly be spoilt.
If a pack inflates or shows traces of
dampness, this means that it has not
been stored at the proper temperature
and that the item has lost its original
qualities.
It is useful to pay careful attention when
making your purchase because defrosted
or even partially defrosted items cannot
be refrozen. In this case, you must
consume them within 24 hours.
ADVICE ON DEFROSTING
Before they are used, frozen or deep
frozen items must be defrosted in the
refrigerator (meat, poultry, fish, etc.) or at
ambient temperature (for the other types
of food). In the case of thin or apportioned
items, cook them directly: in this case, the
cooking time will be longer.
17
MAINTENANCE
DEFROSTING
You must proceed to defrost your
appliance when the layer of frost is about
4mm thick. Use the plastic spatula
supplied with the appliance.
Proceed as follows to defrost the
appliance completely:
Turn the thermostat knob to the 0
position,
Wrap the food in several sheets of
newspaper and keep it in a cool place.
Keep the door open to let the ice melt.
You can accelerate the defrosting process
by placing a bowl of hot water in the
appliance.
Sponge down and carefully dry the inside
walls.
Return the thermostat knob to the desired
setting and switch on Rapid Freezing.
After 2 to 3 hours of operation, the
appliance is once again ready to store
frozen food and you can switch off Rapid
Freezing.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Disconnect your appliance before
proceeding to clean it
We recommend that you clean and
disinfect your appliance regularly.
Clean the inside with bicarbonate diluted
in water and a sponge or a washcloth.
This prevents any unpleasant smells from
forming.
Never use solvents or abrasive
detergents because these could damage
the inside of your appliance. Do not wash
the accessories inside the appliance in a
dishwasher.
We recommend that you wipe down the
back of the appliance with a soft cloth
once a year because performance is
reduced and consumption increases if this
is dirty.

UTILIZAÇÃO DO SEU APARELHO
Conselhos:
Não ponha no congelador alimentos
quentes ou líquidos não tapados.
NUNCA introduza líquidos voláteis,
inflamáveis ou explosivos tais como
dissolventes, álcoois, acetona ou
gasolina. Existe um risco de explosão.
Não congele uma demasiada grande
quantidade de alimentos numa só vez,
quanto mais depressa o alimento estiver
congelado, mais conservará as suas
qualidades.
É favor embalar os seus alimentos antes
da congelação, de forma a conservar
toda o seu sabor e não estragar os outros
produtos.
CONSELHOS PARA A
ULTRACONGELAÇÃO
A duração de conservação dos alimentos
congelados depende do tipo de
alimentos. Consulte as instruções nas
embalagens.
Não abra a porta e não ponha novos
produtos a congelar durante uma fase de
congelação.
Um produto descongelado nunca deve
ser recongelado.
Identifique a data de fabricação dos
produtos congelados e respeite a duração
de conservação indicada pelo fabricante.
Evite abrir demasiadas vezes a porta e
não a deixe aberta mais do que
necessário: um aumento da temperatura
pode reduzir de forma significativa a
duração de conservação dos alimentos.
Verifique se a embalagem exterior está
intacta. Caso contrário, este produto pode
ficar danificado.
Se uma embalagem encher ou
apresentar marcas de humidade, significa
que não foi conservada a uma
temperatura adequada e que o produto
perdeu as suas qualidades de origem.
Convém ter muito cuidado durante as
compras, pois os alimentos
descongelados, mesmo parcialmente,
não podem ser recongelados. Neste
caso, tem de as consumir nas 24 horas.
DESCONGELAMENTO
Antes da sua utilização, os alimentos
congelados ou ultracongelados devem ser
descongelados no frigorífico (carne, ave,
peixe, etc.) ou a temperatura ambiente
(para os outros alimentos). Se se tratar de
produtos finos ou divididos, coloque-os
directamente a cozer: neste caso, o tempo
de cozedura será mais longo.
41
MANUTENÇÃO
DESCONGELAMENTO
Tem de proceder ao
descongelamento do seu congelador
quando a camada de gelo atinge cerca de
4 mm. Utilize a espátula de plástico
entregue com o aparelho.
Para efectuar um descongelamento
completo, proceda da seguinte forma:
Rode o botão do termóstato na posição 0,
Envolve os alimentos em várias folhas de
papel de jornal e conserve-os num lugar
frescos.
Mantenha a porta aberta de forma a
deixar o gelo derreter. Pode acelerar o
descongelamento colocando um
recipiente de água quente no aparelho.
Enxugue e seque cuidadosamente as
paredes.
Ponha o botão do termóstato na posição
desejada e a congelação rápida em
funcionamento.
Após 2 ou 3 horas de funcionamento, o
aparelho está novamente pronto para
conservar alimentos ultracongelados e
pode-se desligar a congelação rápida.
LIMPEZA E MANUTENÇÃO
Desligue o congelador antes de
proceder à limpeza.
Recomenda-se de proceder regularmente
à limpeza e à desinfecção do seu
aparelho.
congelador diminui e o consumo
aumenta.
