MONTAGEM DO EQUIPAMENTO

Para evitar lesões e danos ao equipamento, desligue-o antes de instalar ou remover os

tubos.

Montagem dos tubos do soprador

Montagem do tubo superior:

1. Coloque o equipamento em uma superfície plana e nivelada.

2. Gire o tubo superior (2) de modo que a trava “TOP” fique voltada para cima (Fig. 01).

3. Alinhe a trava “TOP” do tubo superior (2) com o encaixe da saída do soprador (3), (Fig. 02).

4. Empurre o tubo superior (2) em direção a saída do soprador (3), (Fig. 03).

5. Segure a empunhadura firmemente, e gire o tubo superior no sentido horário até encaixar (Fig.

03). A trava do tubo superior (2) deve estar alinhada com a trava da saída do soprador (3), (Fig. 03).

Montagem do tubo inferior:

1. Alinhe a trava do tubo inferior (1) com o encaixe do tubo superior (2), (Fig. 04).

2. Empurre o tubo inferior (1) em direção ao tubo superior (2), (Fig. 04).

3. Segure a empunhadura firmemente, e gire o tubo inferior (1) no

sentido horário até encaixar (Fig. 4). A trava do tubo inferior (1) deve

ficar alinhada com a trava do tubo superior (2), (Fig. 04).

Remoção dos Tubos do Soprador

Remoção do tubo inferior:

1. Coloque o equipamento em uma superfície plana e nivelada.

2. Segure a empunhadura firmemente, e gire o tubo inferior no sentido

anti-horário até desencaixar (Fig. 04).

3. Remova o tubo inferior (1) do tubo superior (2), (Fig. 04).

Remoção do tubo superior:

1. Segure o tubo superior do soprador firmemente, e insira cuidosamente

uma chave de fenda (cabeça chata) abaixo da aba da trava “TOP”

(Fig. 05).

2. Cuidadosamente gire a chave de fenda para abrir a trava. Repita

este procedimento com a segunda trava (Fig. 05).

3. Remova o tubo superior (2) da saída do soprador (3), (Fig. 05).

ABASTECIMENTO

Para o motor operar adequadamente e obter máxima confiabilidade, preste atenção nas

instruções para mistura de gasolina e óleo descritas no recipiente de óleo 2 tempos. Utilizar

uma mistura inadequada pode danificar o motor.

A gasolina é um combustível extremamente inflamável. Vapores podem explodir se

sofrerem ignição. Sempre pare o motor e deixe-o esfriar antes de abastecer o tanque. Não

fume enquanto abastecer o tanque. Mantenha o equipamento longe de faíscas e chamas.

Remova a tampa do tanque de combustível lentamente a fim de evitar lesões ocasionadas

pela dispersão do combustível. Nunca opere o equipamento se a tampa do tanque não estiver

adequadamente no seu lugar.

Abasteça o combustível em área livre e ventilada. Limpe imediatamente qualquer derramamento

de combustível. Evite que seja gerada uma fonte de incêndio com o combustível derramado.

Não acione o equipamento até que os vapores do combustível se dissipem.

Abastecimento de combustível

Abasteça o tanque de combustível com gasolina de boa qualidade e bem

misturada com 4% (25:1) de óleo 2 tempos (Fig. 06). O tanque possui

capacidade para 473 ml.

1. Posicione o equipamento com a tampa do tanque voltada para cima

(Fig. 07).

2. Remova a tampa do tanque.

3. Coloque o bico do recipiente na entrada do tanque e abasteça. Não encha

o tanque em excesso.

4. Limpe qualquer combustível derramado.

5. Recoloque a tampa no tanque.

6. Distancie o recipiente contendo combustível a, no mínimo, 10 m antes de

acionar o equipamento.

Gasolina

Use sempre gasolina de boa qualidade e não armazene por mais de 30 dias, pois prejudica

o funcionamento do motor. Deixe o motor esfriar por pelo menos dois minutos antes de

reabastecer com gasolina para evitar explosões. Não deixe gasolina no tanque. Use o

equipamento até terminar a gasolina para evitar que ela fique acumulada no carburador.

ACIONAMENTO

Opere este equipamento somente em uma área externa e bem ventilada. As emissões de

monóxido de carbono podem ser letais em uma área confinada.

Para evitar ferimentos graves, o operador e o equipamento devem estar em uma posição

estável durante a partida. Para evitar ferimentos pessoais graves, certifique-se de que os tubos

do soprador estejam encaixados e travados.

Quando acionar o equipamento, verifique se o mesmo não está direcionado para pessoas,

animais, janelas, automóveis ou resíduos soltos.

Instruções de Partida

1. Pressione o bulbo injetor de gasolina (1), 10 vezes, ou até que o combustível esteja visível no bulbo (Fig. 08).

2. Gire o controle de velocidade para a posição “DEVAGAR” (2), (Fig. 09) e não aperte o acelerador (3).

3. Gire a alavanca do afogador (4) no sentido horário até ouvir um clique (Fig. 08).

4. Agache-se na posição de partida (Fig. 10). Não aperte o acelerador (3), (Fig. 09) e puxe a corda de

partida em movimento controlado e constante até que o equipamento acione.

5. Deixe o motor em marcha lenta por 5 a 10 segundos. O equipamento já pode ser utilizado após

este tempo.

O motor aquece devidamente quando o mesmo acelera sem falhar. Uma vez que o motor estiver

devidamente aquecido, o controlador de velocidade pode ser ajustado e o acelerador pode ser usado

normalmente. Se o motor não acionar, inicie o procedimento de partida pela etapa “1”. Caso o

equipamento estiver aquecido e falhar o acionamento ao puxar a corda 3 vezes, aperte e segure o

acelerador ou mova o controle de velocidade para a posição “RÁPIDA” (5), (Fig. 09). Em seguida, puxe

a corda de partida em movimento controlado e estável até que o equipamento acione.

Instruções de Parada

1. Libere o gatilho (3), (Fig. 09) ou ajuste o controle de velocidade variável para a posição “DEVAGAR”

(2), (Fig. 09) para deixar o motor em marcha lenta.

2. Pressione e segure o interruptor Liga/Desliga (6), (Fig. 09) na posição DESLIGA (O) até que o

motor pare completamente.

FUNCIONAMENTO E FORMA DE USO

Para prevenir a ocorrência de graves lesões, nunca opere o equipamento sem que os tubos

do soprador estejam seguramente acoplados.

Sempre use proteção ocular, auricular e proteção para a face e corpo para evitar lesões

durante a operação. Use máscara facial ou para pó, caso haja poeiras durante a operação.

Como Segurar o Equipamento

1. Posicione-se para a operação (Fig. 11). Fique em pé. Não se curve

sobre o equipamento.

2. Mantenha os pés afastados e firmes sobre o chão.

3. Segure a empunhadura firmemente com uma das mãos.

Use o soprador para soprar folhas, grama, pequenos galhos e pedaços de papel. Varra de lado a lado

com o bocal posicionado a 50 centímetros acima do chão ou piso. Avance o equipamento lentamente,

mantendo a pilha acumulada de detritos à sua frente. A maioria das operações de sopro a seco tem

um desempenho melhor quando realizadas a baixas velocidades.

Dicas para Melhores Resultados

• Para reduzir níveis de ruído, opere o equipamento com a menor velocidade necessária para executar

o trabalho.

• Recolha resíduos soltos no solo com vassouras e ancinhos antes de iniciar a operação.

• Use o controlador de velocidade para realizar operações contínuas mais facilmente.

• Preserve a água utilizando o soprador ao invés de mangueira para realizar limpezas de áreas externas.

• Em condições de poeira, umedeça a superfície previamente.

• Esteja atento a crianças, animais, janelas abertas e carros. Assopre os resíduos em direção contrária.

Nunca direcione o equipamento para pessoas enquanto estiver em funcionamento.

MANUTENçãO

A fim de evitar graves lesões, nunca realize manutenções ou reparos enquanto o equipamento

estiver em funcionamento. Sempre aguarde o equipamento esfriar antes de realizar

manutenções ou reparos. Desconete o cabo da vela para prevenir que o equipamento acione

acidentalmente.

Programa de Manutenção

Realize os seguintes procedimentos de manutenção na frequência estabelecida pela tabela. Estes

procedimentos também devem fazer parte de qualquer revisão temporária.

Manutenção do Filtro de Ar

Falhas na manutenção do filtro de ar podem resultar em redução do desempenho ou podem causar

danos permanentes no motor. Danos no motor devido a manutenção inadequada no filtro de ar não

estão cobertas pela garantia.

Limpeza do Filtro de Ar

1. Abra a tampa do filtro de ar (4), (Fig. 12): pressione a trava (2) e

mova a tampa do filtro de ar para a direita.

2. Remova o filtro de ar (3) do interior da tampa de proteção (1).

3. Lave o filtro de ar com detergente e água. Enxágue o filtro bem

e deixe secar.

4. Deposite algumas gotas de óleo SAE 30 limpo.

5. Aperte o filtro de ar para espalhar o óleo.

6. Reinstale o filtro de ar no interior da tampa de proteção (1).

Operar o equipamento sem o filtro de ar ou sem a tampa de proteção ANULA a garantia.

Feche a tampa de proteção: gire a tampa para a esquerda e pressione até que a trava se

encaixe.

Limpeza

Use uma escova pequena para limpar o exterior do equipamento. Não use detergentes fortes. Produtos

de limpeza domésticos que contêm óleos aromáticos como pinho e limão e solventes como querosene

podem danificar a caixa do motor ou a alça de plástico. Seque toda a umidade com um pano macio.

Armazenameto

Nunca armazene o equipamento com combustível em um local onde os gases possam entrar em

contato com fogo ou fagulhas.

Deixe o motor resfriar antes de guardar o equipamento.

Armazene o equipamento em área seca e bem ventilada.

Mantenha fora do alcance de crianças.

NORMAS BÁSICAS DE SEGURANçA

• Leia as instruções cuidadosamente. Fique familiarizado com os controles e uso apropriado do equipamento.

• Não opere este equipamento quando cansado, doente ou sob influência de álcool ou medicamentos.

• Crianças não podem operar este equipamento. Menores de idade devem estar acompanhados e guiados

por um adulto.

• Todos os acessórios de segurança devem ser instalados apropriadamente antes do seu uso.

• Inspecione o equipamento antes de usar. Substitua peças danificadas. Verifique vazamentos de combustível.

Verifique se todos parafusos estão seguros e no local correto. Substitua peças que estão rachadas, lascadas ou

danificadas de alguma forma. Não opere o equipamento com peças soltas ou danificadas.

• Cuidadosamente inspecione o equipamento antes de dar a partida. Remova da área pedras, cacos de vidro,

pregos, fios, cabos e outros objetos que podem ser arremessados ou ficar presos no equipamento.

• Mantenha crianças, animais e observadores afastados por um raio mínimo de 15 metros. Mesmo nesta

distância, não estão livres do risco de serem alcançados por objetos arremessados. Sugira para que os mesmos

utilizem proteção ocular. Em caso de aproximação, pare o equipamento imediatamente.

• Faça todos os ajustes e reparos antes de utilizar o equipamento.

• Este equipamento destina-se unicamente para uso ocasional e familiar.

• Armazene o combustível em recipientes específicos e aprovados para o seu uso.

• Sempre desligue o motor e deixe esfriar antes de encher o tanque. Nunca remova a tampa do tanque ou

adicione combustível quando o motor estiver quente. Sempre abra a tampa do tanque lentamente, a fim de

aliviar a pressão no seu interior antes do seu abastecimento.

• Sempre misture e adicione o combustível em área livre e bem ventilada, onde não haja faíscas ou chamas.

• Nunca opere o equipamento sem que a tampa do tanque esteja apropriadamente no seu lugar.

• Evite criar uma fonte de ignição para combustível derramado. Limpe qualquer derramamento imediatamente

antes de dar a partida. Afaste o equipamento no mínimo 10 m do recipiente de combustível antes de dar a

partida.

• Nunca acione ou opere o equipamento dentro de ambientes fechados. A inalação de gases de combustão

podem matar. Opere este equipamento somente em áreas abertas e ventiladas.

• Use óculos de proteção ou segurança de acordo com a legislação vigente. Use protetor auricular

quando em operação. Use máscara de proteção facial em caso de poeira.

PROBLEMA SOLUÇÃO

O MOTOR NÃO ACIONA

O tanque de combustível está vazio. Encha o tanque com mistura correta de combustível/óleo.

O bulbo injetor de gasolina não foi pressionado sucientemente.

Pressione o bulbo injetor de gasolina 10 vezes ou até que o

combustível que visível.

O motor está afogado.

Aperte o acelerador ou puxe o cordão de partida até que o motor

acione.

O combustível está velho (mais que 30 dias) ou a mistura é

inadequada.

Drene o tanque de combustível e adicione a mistura adequada.

O MOTOR NÃO OPERA EM MARCHA LENTA | O MOTOR NÃO ACELERA | O MOTOR PÁRA OU FALTA POTÊNCIA

O combustível está velho (mais que 30 dias) ou a mistura é

inadequada.

Drene o tanque de combustível e adicione a mistura adequada.

O ltro de ar está sujo. Limpe ou substitua o ltro de ar.

• Use calças compridas e grossas, calçados fechados, luvas e camisa de manga longa. Não use roupas soltas,

jóias, bermudas, sandálias ou fique de pés descalços. Prenda o cabelo acima da altura dos ombros.

• Use o equipamento somente à luz do dia ou com luz artifical apropriada.

• Evite partidas acidentais. Posicione-se na posição de partida sempre que puxar a corda de arranque. O

operador e o equipamento devem estar em posição estável durante o arranque. Consulte o item partida e

parada.

• Sempre segure o equipamento firmemente enquanto estiver operando.

• Não estenda o corpo demasiadamente. Sempre mantenha o equilíbrio. Tome cuidado extra ao trabalhar

em inclinações e encostas. Para evitar graves lesões, não opere o equipamento em escadas ou telhados.

• Mantenha mãos, rosto e pés longe de partes móveis. Não mexa ou tente parar partes móveis.

• Não toque no motor ou silenciador. Estas partes ficam extremamente quentes durante a operação, bem como

após o equipamento ser desligado.

• Não opere o equipamento em velocidade maior que a necessária para a tarefa.

• Não force o equipamento. Se utilizado corretamente, fará um trabalho mais seguro e eficaz.

• Sempre pare o equipamento quando a operação ficar demorada ou enquanto caminhar de um local para

outro.

• Se algum objeto ficar preso durante a operação ou o equipamento bater em algum objeto, pare

imediatamente e verifique possíveis danos. Não volte a operar antes que os danos sejam reparados. Não opere

o equipamento com partes soltas ou danificadas.

• Desligue o motor e desconecte o cabo da vela para reparos ou manutenções.

• Somente utilize peças e acessórios de reposição originais do equipamento. As mesmas estão disponíveis nas

assistências técnicas autorizadas. O uso indevido de outras peças ou acessórios podem ocasionar graves lesões

ao usuário ou danificar o equipamento, anulando a garantia.

TERMOS DE GARANTIA

A TRAMONTINA MULTI S.A. oferece garantia a este produto por ela comercializado contra qualquer

defeito de fabricação pelo período total de 06 (seis) meses, sendo 03 (três) meses de garantia

contratual e 90 (noventa) dias de garantia legal, conforme estabelece o artigo 26 do Código de Defesa

do Consumidor.

O prazo de contagem da garantia inicia-se com a emissão da Nota Fiscal de venda do equipamento,

que deverá ser anexada ao presente termo, sendo que a garantia será válida somente mediante

apresentação da nota fiscal de compra.

Dentro do prazo total de 06 meses, a TRAMONTINA MULTI S.A. compromete-se a reparar ou substituir

gratuitamente as peças que, em condições normais de uso e manutenção e, segundo avaliação técnica,

apresentem defeito de fabricação.

O comprador será responsável pelas despesas de embalagem e transporte até o Serviço Autorizado

Tramontina mais próximo.

O comprador é responsável pelas revisões, manutenções e limpezas periódicas necessárias ao

equipamento, bem como pela observação a todos os cuidados dispostos no manual de uso.

A garantia não cobre:

• Vícios causados pela inobservância do manual de uso.

• Peças danificadas pelo desgaste natural, acidentes, uso e manutenção incorreta do equipamento

ou imperícia do operador.

• Peças danificadas por montagem ou uso indevido que não cumpram com as indicações

deste manual.

Installing the blower tubes

Installing the Upper Blower Tube:

1. Set the unit on a at, level surface.

2. Rotate the upper blower tube (2) so that the “TOP” lock tab is facing up (Fig. 01, Pag. 04).

3. Align the “TOP” lock tab on the upper blower tube (2) with the groove on the blower outlet (3), (Fig. 02, Pag. 04).

4. Push the upper blower tube (2) onto the blower outlet (3), (Fig. 03, Pag. 04).

5. While holding the handle rmly, turn the upper blower tube clockwise until it locks into place (Fig. 03, Pag. 04).The tab on

the upper blower tube (2) should align with the tab on the blower outlet (3), (Fig. 03, Pag. 04).

Installing the Lower Blower Tube:

1. Align the tab on the lower blower tube (1) with the groove on the upper blower tube (2), (Fig. 04, Pag. 04).

2. Push the lower blower tube (1) onto the upper blower tube (2), (Fig. 04, Pag. 04).

3. While holding the handle rmly, turn the lower blower tube (1) clockwise until it locks into place (Fig. 04, Pag. 04). The tab

on the lower blower tube (1) should align with the tab on the upper blower tube (2), (Fig. 04, Pag. 04).

Removing the blower tubes

Removing the Lower Blower Tube:

1. Set the unit on a at, level surface.

2. While holding the handle rmly, turn the lower blower tube counterclockwise until it unlocks from the upper blower tube

(Fig. 04, Pag. 04).

3. Remove the lower blower tube (1) from the upper blower tube (2), (Fig. 04, Pag. 04).

Removing the Upper Blower Tube:

1. While holding the upper blower tube rmly, carefully insert a at-head screwdriver under the TOP lock tab (Fig. 05, Pag.

04).

2. Gently twist the screwdriver to lift the lock tab away from the blower outlet. Repeat this step with a second lock tab (Fig.

05, Pag. 04).

3. Remove the upper blower tube (2) from the blower outlet (3), (Fig. 05, Pag. 04).

FUELING

For proper engine operation and maximum reliability, pay strict attention to the gasoline and oil mixing instructions

on the 2-cycle oil bottle. Using improperly mixed fuel can severely damage the engine.

Gasoline is extremely ammable. Ignited vapors may explode. Always stop the engine and allow it to cool before

lling the fuel tank. Do not smoke while lling the tank. Keep sparks and open ames at a distance from the area.

Remove the fuel cap slowly to avoid injury from fuel spray. Never operate the unit without the fuel cap securely

in place.

Add fuel in a clean, well ventilated outdoor area. Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately. Avoid creating a source of

ignition for spilled fuel. Do not start the engine until fuel vapors dissipate.

Fueling

Use good quality gasoline mixed with 4% (25:1) 2-stroke oil in the fuel tank (Fig. 06, Pag. 05). The tank has a

capacity of 473 ml.

1. Position the unit with the fuel cap facing up (Fig. 07, Pag. 05).

2. Remove the fuel cap.

3. Place the fuel container spout into the ll hole on the fuel tank and ll the tank. Do not overll the tank.

4. Wipe up any fuel that may have spilled.

5. Reinstall the fuel cap.

6. Move the unit at least 10 m from the fuel container and the fueling site before starting the engine.

Gas

Always use good quality gas and do not store it for more than 30 days, since this can damage the engine operation. Let

the engine cool for at least two minutes before relling with gas so as to avoid the possibility of an explosion. Never leave

gas in the tank. Use the lawn mower until the gas nishes in order to prevent it from accumulating in the carburetor.

ACTIvATION

Operate this unit only in a well-ventilated outdoor area. Carbon monoxide exhaust fumes can be lethal in a

conned area.

To avoid serious injury, the operator and the machine must be in a stable position during the match. To avoid

serious personal injury, make sure that the blower tubes are seated and locked.

When starting the unit, make sure it is not directed toward people, animals, windows, automobiles or loose debris.

Starting Instructions

1. Press the primer bulb 10 times, or until fuel is visible (Fig. 08, Pag. 06).

2. Move the cruise control to the “SLOW” position (2) and do not squeeze the throttle control (3), (Fig. 09, Pag. 06).

3. Flip the choke lever (4) clockwise until it clicks (Fig. 08, Pag. 06).

4. Crouch in the starting position (Fig. 10, Pag. 06). Do not squeeze the throttle control (3), (Fig. 09, Pag. 06), and pull the

starter rope with a controlled and steady motion until the unit starts.

5. Idle the engine for 5 to 10 seconds. The unit may be used during this time.

The engine is properly warmed up when it accelerates without hesitation. Once the engine is properly warmed, the cruise

control may be adjusted and the throttle control can be used normally. If the engine does not start, begin the starting

procedure with step 1. If the unit is hot and fails to start within 3 pulls of the starter rope, squeeze and hold the throttle

control or move the cruise control to the “FAST” position (5), (Fig. 09, Pag. 06). Then pull the starter rope with a controlled

and steady motion until the unit starts.

Stopping Instructions

1. Release the throttle control (3), or move the cruise control to the “SLOW” position (2), (Fig. 09, Pag. 06) and allow the

engine to idle.

2. Press and hold the On/Off switch (6), (Fig. 09, Pag. 06) in the OFF (O) position until the engine comes to a complete stop.

OPERATION AND FORM OF USAGE

To prevent serious personal injury, never operate the unit without the blower tubes securely attached.

Always wear eye, hearing, hand, foot and body protection to reduce the risk of injury when operating this unit.

Wear a face mask or dust mask if the operation is dusty.

Holding the Unit

1. Stand in the operating position (Fig. 11, Pag. 07). Stand up straight. Do not bend over.

2. Keep feet apart and firmly planted.

3. Hold the handle firmly with either hand.

Use the blower for leaves, grass, small twigs and bits of paper. Sweep from side to side with the nozzle 50 cm above

the ground or oor. Slowly advance the unit, keeping the accumulated pile of debris in front of you. Most dry blowing

operations are better suited to low speeds, rather than high. High speed blowing is a better way to move heavier items

like large debris or gravel.

Tips for Best Results

• To reduce noise levels, operate the unit at the lowest speed needed to do the job.

• Use rakes or brooms to loosen debris before operation.

• Use the cruise control to make continuous operation easier.

• Conserve water by using the blower instead of a hose to perform many outdoor cleaning actions.

• In dusty conditions, slightly dampen surfaces.

• Watch out for children, pets, open windows and freshly washed cars. Blow debris safely away. Never direct the unit toward

anyone while the unit is in operation.

MAINTENANCE

To prevent serious injury, never perform maintenance or repairs while the unit is running. Always allow the unit

to cool before servicing or repairing the unit. Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent the unit from starting

accidentally.

Maintenance Schedule

Perform these required maintenance procedures at the frequency stated in the table. These procedures should also be a part

of any seasonal tune-up.

Some maintenance procedures may require special tools or skills. If you are unsure about these procedures, take

the unit to authorized service dealer.

Maintaining the Air Filter

Failure to maintain the air lter can result in poor performance or can cause permanent damage to the engine. Engine failure

due to improper air lter maintenance is not covered by the product warranty.

Cleaning the Air Filter

1. Open the air lter cover (4): press in the lock tab (2) and swing the air lter cover to the right (Fig. 12, Pag. 08).

2. Remove the air lter (3) from inside the air lter cover (1), (Fig. 12, Pag. 08).

3. Wash the air lter in detergent and water. Rinse the air lter thoroughly and allow it to dry.

4. Deposit a few drops of SAE 30 oil clean.

5. Tighten the air lter to spread the oil.

6. Reinstall the air lter inside the air lter cover (1), (Fig. 12, Pag. 08).

Operating the unit without the air lter and air lter cover will VOID the warranty. Close the protective cover:

rotate the cover left and precione until the latch clicks.

Cleaning

Use a small brush to clean off the outside of the unit. Do not use strong detergents. Household cleaners that

BASIC SAFETY RULES

• Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar with the controls and proper use of the unit.

• Do not operate this unit when tired, ill or under the inuence of alcohol, drugs or medication.

• Children must not operate the unit. Teens must be accompanied and guided by an adult.

• All guards and safety attachments must be installed properly before operating the unit.

• Inspect the unit before use. Replace damaged parts. Check for fuel leaks. Make sure all fasteners are in place and secure.

Replace parts that are cracked, chipped, or damaged in any way. Do not operate the unit with loose or damaged parts.

• Carefully inspect the area before starting the unit. Remove rocks, broken glass, nails, wire, string and other objects that may

be thrown or become entangled with the unit.

• Clear the area of children, bystanders and pets; keep them outside a 50-foot (15 m) radius, at a minimum. Even then,

they are still at risk from thrown objects. Encourage bystanders to wear eye protection. If you are approached, stop the unit

immediately.

• Squeeze the throttle control and check that it returns automatically to the idle position. Make all adjustments or repairs

before using the unit.

• This unit is intended for occasional, household use only.

• Store fuel only in containers specically designed and approved for the storage of such materials.

• Always stop the engine and allow it to cool before lling the tank. Never remove the fuel tank cap or add fuel when the

engine is hot. Always loosen the fuel tank cap slowly to relieve any pressure in the tank before fueling.

• Always mix and add fuel in a clean, well-ventilated outdoor area where there are no sparks or ames. DO NOT smoke.

• Never operate the unit without the fuel cap securely in place.

• Avoid creating a source of ignition for spilled fuel. Wipe up any spilled fuel from the unit immediately, before starting the

unit. Move the unit at least 10 m from the fueling source and site before starting the engine. DO NOT smoke.

• Never start or run the unit inside a closed room or building. Breathing exhaust fumes can kill. Operate this unit only in a

well ventilated outdoor area.

• Wear safety glasses or goggles. Wear ear/hearing protection when operating this unit. Wear a face mask or dust mask if

the operation is dusty.

• Wear heavy long pants, boots, gloves and a long sleeve shirt. Do not wear loose clothing, jewelry, short pants, sandals or

go barefoot. Secure hair above shoulder level.

• Use the unit only in daylight or good articial light.

• Avoid accidental starting. Be in the starting position whenever pulling the starter rope. The operator and unit must be in a

stable position while starting. Refer to Starting and Stopping.

• Always hold the unit with a rm grip when operating.

• Do not overreach. Always keep proper footing and balance. Take extra care when working on stairs, steep slopes

or inclines. To avoid serious injury, do not operate the unit while on a ladder or a roof.

• Keep hands, face, and feet away from all moving parts. Do not touch or try to stop moving parts.

PROBLEM SOLUTION

THE ENGINE WILL NOT START

• Always stop the unit when operation is delayed or when walking from one location to another.

• If you strike or become entangled with a foreign object, stop the unit immediately and check for damage. Do not

operate the unit before repairing damage. Do not operate the unit with loose or damaged parts.

• Turn the engine to off and disconnect the spark plug for maintenance or repair.

• Use only original equipment manufacturer replacement parts and accessories for this unit. These are available from

your authorized service dealer. Use of any other parts or accessories could lead to serious injury to the user, or damage

to the unit, and void the warranty.

WARRANTY TERMS

TRAMONTINA MULTI S.A. guarantees this product against any manufacturing defect for a period of 06 (six) months, of

which 3 (three) months are contractual warranty and 90 (ninety) days are legal warranty, according to article 26 of the

Consumer Protection Code. The period of this warranty dates from the date of emission of the equipment sales receipt,

which should be attached to this agreement, with the warranty only being valid on presentation of the sales receipt.

Within a total period of 06 months, TRAMONTINA MULTI S.A. undertakes to repair or replace parts free of charge which

according to technical assessment display manufacturing defects under normal conditions of use and maintenance.

The purchaser is responsible for shipping and packaging costs to the nearest Tramontina Authorised Service provider.

The purchaser is responsible for the equipment’s necessary periodical inspection, maintenance and cleaning, and also for

observing all the care requirements in the user’s manual.

The following are not covered by warranty:

• Damage caused by not following the owner’s manual.

• Damage to parts due to normal wear and tear, accidents, incorrect use and maintenance of equipment, or the operator’s

lack of knowledge on how to use the equipment.

• Damage to parts due to assembly or use that are not indicated in the owner’s manual.

• Equipment failure due to improper oil lubricants and/or combustibles (that do not conform to the technical specications).

• Equipment failure due to operation without oil, insufcient oil, excess oil or use of oil different from the type recommended.

• Servicing required due to problems from improper oils and combustibles (internal cleaning).

• Periodic servicing, maintenance and cleaning as needed for the equipment.

• Damage to the product caused by tampering, using non-original parts or repair by persons not authorized by Tramontina.
